Manti Te'o: A linebacker, a made-up girlfriend and a national hoax

star. Manti Te'o is a middle linebacker for the Notre Dame fighting Irish. Manti
Te'o claimed that his grandmother and his girlfriend that he was in love with
died within hours of each other. Shortly after Manti Te'o and the fighting
Irish were to play Stanford in a massive win 20-3 and his performance was
stellar. After the game he was honored with the game ball at a huge ceremony.
Speculation led to research about his so called girlfriend. Her name was Lennay Kekua. When her name was searched up there were only
results for her death. Manti Te'o also never met her in person. People are beginning
to think that this girl was either a massive hoax that Manti Te'o staged to get
massive international attention, He is either a homosexual that is still no
revealing the secret, or he was just straight up pranked. There are
investigations still going on and there is no information to see if this was
not a hoax and all of this is a true story.
I personally think Manti Te'o was faking the girlfriend story. I think that
he knew she was fake or he made up her name and profile on his own. I think he
also staged the death to add some motivation to his teammates for the big game.
I cannot believe this story because there are too many consistencies. I think
that he staged this act to get popularity. His father said that they have met
and Manti Te'o said that they haven't met. Manti Te'o said her family wants
privacy but there was no family on record. He gave them a funeral home where
she was born and there was no record of her burial. I think Manti Te'o created
this story for the publicity and for the motivation to his teammates. I
personally am surprised and think that this is a bizarre story for a young man
in his twenties to be surrounded by. I don’t think it is true.
