It was a Sunday Morning when Innocent 61 year old Johnny Lee Bucks went for his routine 4 mile walk in Mississippi, USA. he was run over by three white teenagers driving a white Monte Carlo. The three boys were coming home from a night of parting, drinking, and smoking Marijuana. One of the boys who remains unnamed reported how the murder went down. Matthew Witten was driving the car and was warned that there was a walker on the side of the road. Matthew continued to drive straight at the walker approaching from behind. The Driver continued to drive and hit Johnny Bucks without hesitation and without hitting the breaks at 75 MPH. Matthew was charged with murder and a hate sentence is still being trialed. Johnny Lee Bucks's son is convinced that it was done completely because of the colour of his fathers skin.

 

 

This is a sickening article. The way people can treat other people can meet nasty and terrible extremes. I think that Matthew Witten is as low character as a human can be. I believe that he hit this man only out of pure spite and racism. He did it without hesitation without second thinking. What was this boy brought up in? It upsets me that African- American people to this day still are not free from danger and racism. I am really disgruntled by the hatred that some people show to other human beings just because of there skin colour. I think that Matthew should get a life sentence in jail. He took a innocent mans life that was just walking enjoying the beautiful morning. He did this just because the skin pigment of another man was not his preferred colour. It surprises me that racism is still not 100% fixed in the world. The days of hatred should be over. People that think with a racist mind need to be informed. They need to be changed and they need to let African American people live in peace and safety like they deserve. 

Canadian gets 14-year sentence for supporting terrorists

This article is about a man named Tahawwur Rana. Tahawwur is a man from Pakistan descent that was a Canadian Citizen. He was sent to jail for 14 years today. Tahawwur was convicted of supporting the Pakistan terrorist group known as  "Lashkar-e-Taiba". This Terrorist organization was planning an attack on a Danish newspaper that posted a cartoon of the profit Mohamed in there newspaper. In the Muslim religion it is forbidden for the profit to be seen. Although the plot was never carried out this man was supporting the terrorist group and giving them information. There were people that believed this Canadian should have been given 30 years in jail as opposed to the 14 he is currently sentenced to. Because he was linked to terrorism there are many people that believe that this man should be sentenced to 30 years not 14.

 

 

I personally think that this man disgraced his country and his name. He disgraced his country by helping a terrorist group attack an innocent newspaper company. Although it was never said that the company purposely or unintentionally put the profit in there comic there is still no excuse for what action they were going to take place. Although it didn't happen it could have happened anytime in the near future. I know and I am sure you are aware that attacking a newspaper because they put your profit visible? Think about all the innocent people they could have killed that worked in the newspaper. Think about all the people they could have killed that had no relation to the Newspaper? i also think that it is ridiculous considering the comic was produced in 2005. The fact that this man was helping an organization that had the idea to take deathly actions for a comic made in 2005 sickens me. I think this man should get 30 years in jail because even though nothing happened he was fully aware an attack was going ti happen and it could become fatal to the innocent. And he still went along with it.  

Canadians produce more garbage than anyone else

Canada Produces more garbage per capita than any country on earth. The conference board of Canada gave the country a C average and according to this study Canada was 15th out of 17 countries. Many people say that the reason we produce so much garbage is because we live in such a cold climate. But that is not the only reason. Sadly Canada struggles to use there resources to there full potential. The article says that "our poor results are based on our lack of resources". (Len Coad) Canada did however get some A grades in things such as water quantity, endangered species, and the use of forest products. Overall Canada was given a D average which is what makes us the wost country in the world.

 

 

I personally think that Canada has to do something to step it up and fix this mess. Canadians always want to be the best and are looked upon as one of the best countries in the world. Other countries base there rebuilding like countries like us and the USA. I think that it is a horrible stat to be ranked as the worst country in the world. Canada must do something to fix this and begin to create a new plan that will turn us around in the right direction. I also think that the excuse that Canada lives in a cold climate so it is inclined to produce more garbage is unacceptable. There are many countries in the world that are colder than Canada if not colder. Although the cold may play a small fact why we produce so much garbage it is not the soul and only reason. All this must be fixed and I personally think that the government known this and will ix this for the next upcoming grade. 

Manti Te'o: A linebacker, a made-up girlfriend and a national hoax

This Article is about Manti Te'o, A national super star. Manti Te'o is a middle linebacker for the Notre Dame fighting Irish. Manti Te'o claimed that his grandmother and his girlfriend that he was in love with died within hours of each other. Shortly after Manti Te'o and the fighting Irish were to play Stanford in a massive win 20-3 and his performance was stellar. After the game he was honored with the game ball at a huge ceremony. Speculation led to research about his so called girlfriend. Her name was Lennay Kekua. When her name was searched up there were only results for her death. Manti Te'o also never met her in person. People are beginning to think that this girl was either a massive hoax that Manti Te'o staged to get massive international attention, He is either a homosexual that is still no revealing the secret, or he was just straight up pranked. There are investigations still going on and there is no information to see if this was not a hoax and all of this is a true story.

I personally think Manti Te'o was faking the girlfriend story. I think that he knew she was fake or he made up her name and profile on his own. I think he also staged the death to add some motivation to his teammates for the big game. I cannot believe this story because there are too many consistencies. I think that he staged this act to get popularity. His father said that they have met and Manti Te'o said that they haven't met. Manti Te'o said her family wants privacy but there was no family on record. He gave them a funeral home where she was born and there was no record of her burial. I think Manti Te'o created this story for the publicity and for the motivation to his teammates. I personally am surprised and think that this is a bizarre story for a young man in his twenties to be surrounded by. I don’t think it is true.



Armstrong: Be truthful about doping

This article is about a sports scandal. Lance Armstrong was known as one of the best cyclists ever to live He dominated the sport for close to ten years. Lance Armstrong was seen as a major inspiration story. He was not only just a great cyclist but he was diagnosed with testicular cancer that spread to the lungs. Not only did he survive, he returned to the sport, as well as start a Cancer Society. Lance Armstrong was accused of doping blood and was banned from the sport and stripped of all seven of his Tour de France titles. He recently talked to Oprah Winfrey about coming clean in a 2 hour long interview. This article does not say what Armstrong said. Oprah said that the information shared in the interview about Lance's doping situation will be air'd on her next two shows.

 

 

I personally think that Lance Armstrong did "blood dope". This sport requires so much training so much physical strain on the body. To be at the top of this sport for almost a decade and be winning time after time? I also think that he will come clean in this interview with Oprah. Throughout his career Lance was questioned with doping blood for the same suspicions I wrote above. He had denied them frequently and avoided the problem. But know there is sufficient evidence that states he was "blood doping". His name was tarnished when news came out. he was stripped of his titles and band from competitive cycling anywhere in the world(although he retired in 2005). I think he owes it to his fans and his competitors to tell the truth. People Idolized this man because what he did was thought of superhuman and amazing. I do hope that Lance didn't do anything to give himself an unfair advantage against his opponents. But unfortunately, I just don't see that as a legitimate possibility.
